Glows in the Dark

A heads up to a brilliant site - Glows in the Dark is a virtual guide to the Aurora monster model kits complete with pictures of built-up kits, scans of boxes and instruction sheets. Amazing stuff. Makes me want to get on ebay to try and pick up some re-issues. Shame I've promised myself I won't buy anything on ebay until the end of January!

Franks vs a giant ape

In celebration of King Kong crashing into the cinema here's a little taster of the Fumetti Frankenstein series from Italy featuring Frankenstein getting wopped by a giant gorilla. Unfortunately for Frank's girlie the Gorilla goes on to do very nasty things. Check out Groovy Age of Horror if you don't believe me!

Frankentoy

Thanks to ebay we have this fantastic toy. Apparently you mend his heart and he says 'thank you.' What a polite creature. Not going to end up in my collection however. Clare took one look over my shoulder and said "You're not buying that are you?" I think it was more of a order than a question.

Another ebay gem. You watch in horror as this Japanese 50's Rosko toy stumbles and drops his trousers to reveal striped underwear. Oh the indignity!
